Last week I told you all about the products I will never buy again, so I figured I should try to not be so negative and go ahead and tell you all about the products I can’t live without! I’ve probably talked about some of these before, but I’m serious when I say these are the best of the best!
Nixion Diamax Hair Thickening Treatment: I got this product at a party recently this year and it is the ultimate secret potion for those who have thin hair. I definitely do not have thin hair, but when I let my hair air dry it tends to feel thinner and gets a little too oily for my liking. Right after I get out of the shower, I spray four or five spritz into my roots and comb it through – It’s like magic! (Warning: this product does not make your hair feel smooth or silky, it makes my hair a bit coarser and allows me to have volume and body). |
Beauty Blender: If you’re wondering how all the celebrities get perfect, poreless skin, this is the trick! Now, I suggest reading up and watching a few tutorials before using this product, but once you’ve got the hang of it, you won’t want to put your makeup on any other way! (I do not use this every day. It really covers every single pore and therefore can be bad for those who are prone to acne. I only use this for full, full coverage). |
Urban Decay All Night Longer Spray: This is the Holy Grail! Majority of the time when I have to wear a full face of makeup, I put it on around 6:30am and sometimes am wearing it until 10:00pm, so I really need my makeup to stick around and not melt away. This is the very last step of your makeup routine, give your face a few sprays and I promise you your makeup will not move until you want it to!
Not Your Mother’s Girl Powder: In my previous post, I wrote about how much I dislike the Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak products, well, I really, really like their Girl Powder. If some of you have ever used a root volumizing powder (probably Aveda or Big Sexy Hair) this is literally the same thing but is probably $20 cheaper. I mainly use it when I’m going out because it keeps my hair big and backcombed all night.
MAC Brush #217: If you struggle with putting eye makeup on, this brush will do all the work for you. I use this brush if I am simply putting on one color, or if I want to blend a few. It’s made out of real hair and has a 10-year warranty, so it'll literally last me forever. They tend to run a little more expensive than the average brush, but it’s definitely not comparable to my other brushes!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: I seriously cannot talk about this product enough; I’ve never had a concealer like this EVER! Now, this concealer is NOT for covering up acne or scars, this is a radiant concealer that is meant for under eyes, and t-zone spots or for that whole highlighting/contouring dealio. (If you want to cover up your acne use a yellow concealer, it takes away the redness). But back to my point, everyone should invest in this. I know of one dupe that works exactly the same and that’s the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer!
Health Works Nutra Gel: Aloe is a godsend! As most of you know by now, I have a lot of acne and bad scarring from previous years suffering from it, and this aloe has been the only product to somewhat take away my scars! (Note: this has not taken away my acne or scars fully, but after using it for two full months, it had reduced my scarring and I still use it till this day). I bought this at a co-op and it runs a little more expensive online, but if you are looking for a natural way to get rid of your scars, have patience and try this!
